Of course mate , your ability to herd cats ....um ...tactical move airsofters is phenomenal .
After watching the video I'm rather impressed with your room clearance techniques as well... Nice aggression, etc!
To be honest your brief at BotB was great... that sort of stuff is what makes the day work... its something I'm shit at... lol. I rarely plan beforehand!
Back on topic, looking at the numbers both sides would appear to have 3 six man teams at the momet with a couple of spares as the organisers. We also are suffering from a lack of people with site knowledge.
The game will still run , but it will be easy to swallow up those guys and not find each other .
We need more players on both sides any thoughts as to how to get them in ?
We could try ASCUK *cough* - we got a lot of traffic from click-throughs when BotB was promoted. We couldn't do it with the last one because of the Phoenix thing (not that we needed to on that occasion).
Plus we need to do a PR job at Caen too!

Yup... I could have another work with Beaker!
(I won't mention your derogatory comments about him)

Hmmm, *bites tongue*
If you could that would be good .
David - any chance of some promo stuff for CR before Caen , I know it's asking a lot but a few large posters should do it .
We could also post on the various news sites?
Arnies and airsoft.eu...
Guy... you can do it this time... don't forget to mention that we're taking deposits now!
Hmm, me and my big mouth! I'll what I can do poster-wise..
BTW I was contacted by a chap called Ross Timney who wanted to book four allies in - he hasn't yet, anyone know him? He lives 10 minutes from the site.

Not heard of him.
I think he's a mate of Syds .

Um no ideawhat we're talking about here ?
ffs... do I have to do it?
What we need is a nice press release thingy... then you email it to arnies and airsoft.eu and they put it up on their news page.
pretty please
I'm a fuckwit at things like that ![]()

Please can you explain exactly how the medic rules will work... especially as concerns the mix in with 50m fall-back? Is this when hit first time or when bleeding out? What do we do about picking up dead players... capturing members of patrols... etc.
Otherwise it sounds pretty good.

Still needs some thought, but will work like this for the Allies until they have proper regen points .
1 Get hit , put bandage on
2 Get hit again- now dead , walk back 50 m away from the battle , wait 15 minutes to regen
3 Rejoin game as new player no bandage.
Medics ( the ones with the transferable bags) can medic a player back to life by removing the bandage at first hit . Once dead you have ot regen .
Germans much the same, although they have ot walk back to base ot regen . If they walk up to the roads they can be picked up and med-evac'd back ot base and out again .
Make everyone a little cautious , and less keen to engage "just coz i want to shoot my gun now "
If you have a good ambush then go for it , but you don't wnato tloose men unless you really have ot . Also makes you easy ot capture, ie gives the Germans something to play for .
Can an allied player be captured at their 50m regen spot?
Yes , thats the idea . Although I'm thinking now this may get a bit complicated especially after the initial EER phase
Especially if I'm makingthe germans do something different .....get yers thinking caps on...
Maybe dead is dead after a hit for the Allies,
I think the outlined scenerio is great Guy and I'm looking forward to it.
Stamina (or lack of it) seems to be a critcal factor in player's enjoyment and that players need to feel that an objective is possible and that they can and are making progress.
50 paces may be rather far to move back esp. in dense woodland and is compounded if the rest of the squad has moved off 200 paces in the intervening 15 minutes. Could the dead just lie where they are for 15 minutes (wearing of watch a rule of play just as carrying a whistle). To avoid gay regens should 15 minutes elapse and the squad is still in the same place and engaging then you cannot regen - and enemy can't camp on dead players waiting for them to regen.

Thinking cap? nah, don't have one of them. Now, a thinking helmet I do. A double-decal FJ lid
As far as I can see, the only practical way to handle this is the way that OS has suggested already. Usual medic band for the first hit, but when shot for the second time, then it's fall back 50 Metres, wait 10 Mins then get back into it. Unless of course they find themselves stuck in the middle of a firefight. In that case, they drop back a further 50M to complete the rest of their "dead time". After all, we don't want someone suddenly coming back to life just in time to lace the backs of a successful assault team (that would create a LOT of agro)
The usual CiA bandage thing and medic rule should apply. However, i'd change one thing. I wouldn't get them to take the bandage off i'd get them to put another on. Say, a max of 3 bandages, then dead.

When we were a Kingdom it was run by a King
When we were an Empire it was run by an Empress
Now we're a country we're run by a..........
At Caen we worked with two bandages - usual first one medic'd by anyone, second one applied by medic to extend life. Worked fine, esp as the medic's bandages became a subplot and could be captured by enemy medic and therefore depleted enemy's manpower.
They worked with fixed medics but I think 'posession of the medic bag creates a medic' is more suitable for such a sparse environment at Churchills.
As I say, it's stamina that concerns me. 50m is a long way to pick your way through dense forest - you will be well out of eyeshot let alone shooting distance.
